No former leader would have attempted – really, no former commander would have imagined – unilaterally destroying large sections of the presidential residence to construct a royal-themed celebration hall, with the enthusiastic participation of multiple America's wealthiest, nearly all of which conduct transactions with public institutions.

As disorienting as it is to observe the chief executive seek to颠覆 the old idea regarding democracy and substitute it with its direct contrary, there remains a substantial portion within America who wouldn't consider it entirely new. That encompasses people such as ourselves – within elder demographics close to half – who were brought up as conventional Protestant believers.
We have watched over the years while conservative evangelical congregations transformed the Christ we learned about into the total contrary of our understanding of him. In the fifties it was contained via weakening – Protestantism was so dominant that it basically sanctified existing conditions.
A Struggle for the Highest Among Us
Therefore I have felt encouraged to witness the determined opposition against Trump arise during the previous year.
